LSC Development acquired a vacant 1910 office building located on the corner of Ohio and Orleans Streets in Chicago. The property was previously
the office of Bowne Printing and was converted to a mixed use storage/loft office building. Because of the age and the existing condition of the
exterior facade, the building was in need of extensive structural repairs and tuck pointing of the brickwork to preserve and restore the historical
value. The interior of the building was renovated with new elevators, storage units and loading dock. The top 5 floors were converted to a premium
loft office space with access to a beautiful green roof deck. The existing office buildout was demolished. The ceiling timbers were sandblasted to
remove layers of paint and to restore the natural beauty of the wood and the Chicago brick on the walls was left exposed. The property won
conversion of the year from the Mini Storage Messenger in 2012 and it is currently managed by Extra Space.
